Q: I'm preparing for the Cisco CCNA exam. What score in the game do I need to achieve to be comfortable passing the exam?
A: It's actually more important to be able to answer the questions correctly without making mistakes, than to achieve a particular score. That being said, by our estimate, if you are able to score approximately 7 or higher every time without getting any questions wrong, then you are likely going to do well on the subnetting portion of the CCNA exam. Of course, the more practice you have, the better!
Q: How many subnetting questions are on the Cisco CCNA exam?
A: It varies, but typically 40% of the CCNA exam contains questions related to subnetting. This means that if you can really nail the subnetting portion, you will have a big head start towards passing the exam.
Q: What is the etiquette for submitting high scores?
A: You can submit as many high scores as you like. We do ask that if your score will put you in the top ten and you already have another score in the top ten, then as a courtesy to others please only submit your score if it will be your personal best. Also, please do not use profanity or submit links of any kind in the name or location fields.
Q: How many different types of questions are there?
A: There are currently 11 different types of questions, with millions of different specific questions. Note that while in practice mode you can use the optional checkbox to lock a particular question type so that you can continue practicing only that type until you are fully comfortable with it.
Q: I think one of the questions is wrong! What can I do?
A: Our questions have been thoroughly tested, and so far we have never discovered an error, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. If you think a question is wrong, try to take a screenshot of the page and email it to info@subnetting.net. If you simply aren't sure why a particular answer is correct, check out our Tutorial page for assistance.
